Bright by Three partners with Mi Casa Resource Center

Mi Casa Photo Bright Buzz 07-2015Bright by Three is excited to announce an innovative partnership with Denver-based nonprofit Mi Casa Resource Center, through their Customer Service career training program. Mi Casa offers training programs for individuals interested in updating their skills and launching careers in growth industries. Participants in their six-week Customer Service program will receive hands-on job training through Bright by Three’s Call Center beginning in August 2015.

Volunteers in Bright by Three’s Call Center enter data from enrollment forms and make calls to families for feedback on our programs and to help get them signed up for visits. The work of these volunteers is essential to helping us understand our impact across the state of Colorado. Mi Casa participants will provide Bright by Three with ongoing support in completing data entry and making calls, while simultaneously learning valuable skills that will help them launch a career in the customer service field.

“We are excited to be building our partnership with Bright by Three, as I think we can develop a powerful model for intensive training combined with on-site skills building for our participants,” says Anne Volcker, Employer Engagement Specialist at Mi Casa. “There is so much potential to create something really innovative – it’s quite exciting!”

Mi Casa participants attend Customer Service training courses at Mi Casa’s location in central Denver Monday through Friday. The group will be setting aside time during their six-week program to come to Bright by Three’s office on the Clayton Early Learning campus. Each day will have a different focus, including a volunteer orientation, a time to learn about Bright by Three’s mission and work in communities across Colorado, skill building in data entry, and call center experience. Approximately 10-15 individuals participate in Mi Casa’s Customer Service training program every six weeks.
